    @ArcticDust - the question does not ask about the Euro, it asks about the EU. I Googled the correct question but in Swedish "vilka fördelar fick Sverige av att gå med i EU?" and found absolutely no answer. Clearly there was not much to write home about.

@LOL: I now had a big LOL when I read you.. because you're so ignorant: a) Sweden has not switched to the EURO but uses its Krona b) Sweden was doing very badly before it joined the EU in 1995: In fact, it's GDP declined almost 5% annually in the early 90s.. and the reforms imposed by the EU to become a member .. and subsequently having access to the free EU market marked the upturn in its economy.. Btw.. in 1995 when Sweden joined (through referendum), there was never a discussion about a common currency. So LOL.. your whole arguments about Sweden and the EURO is actually b...****.. (sorry mate). @@Greywolf: I know this but I was answering to "LOL" .. who expressed his anti-european position using the EURO as argument but he obviously deleted his answer.
