UK passport traveling to USA?

Traveling Belfast(Northern Ireland UK) to Scotland via ferry as a Non EU/UK resident do I need my Passport?

  • Has anyone personally travelled from Belfast (Northern Ireland UK) to Scotland (UK) via the Ferry that is a Non EU/UK resident, and knows whether I need my passport or not?? Thanks

  • Answer:

I have no idea where the people who have answered you so far live/work and if they have ever travelled between the islands.............. I am a British citizen and travel at least a couple of times a week on the ferry and even though I am well known by all the staff at the port and on the ferries I need photographic ID you WILL certainly need your passport whoever you are and more so if you are no UK/EU with or without your car and although I use my UK drivers license as a non UK/EU you will need your passport driving or not.............. 100% guaranteed or you will find you will not be allowed to travel.................

No you do not need your passport But,If you are driving, Then you may need to provide proof of your ID to the Police,if asked to do so,so perhaps it maybe easier to carry it,or at least a copy
