How to tell if it's stainless steel?

How do I tell if this water bottle is made from aluminum or stainless steel?

    By looking at the density of the bottle. I'm pretty sure that it's made in China if it's made out of aluminum. Stainless steel is expensive, and China is usually where cheaper products are made.

It`s most likely aluminium,Stainless steel is more expensive and would have it stamped on the bottle somewhere.Stainless looks like Chrome, not polished aluminium.There would also be a big difference in weight.If feels like it weighs almost nothing i`d say it`s not stainless.

Since it is a promotional item I would guess it's aluminum. Looking at pricing online an aluminum water bottle is about 3.99. The cheapest stainless steel is 9.99.

Pour some tap water into it and a Glass cup too. Let them sit ,full of water, for an hour. If the metal cup of water tastes sour with strong notes metal,it is alluminum. The 'glass' cup is the medium.

I think these types of Hot Water bottles are dangerous, as they can burn you, if they are too hot.
