What jobs can you get with an Associate in Applied Science Degree?

What jobs can you get with an associate's degree in applied science?

  • Answer:

This is a hard question to answer. "Associate's in Applied Science" is a two-year degree from a community college, and it can be in a lot of things. If you have an AAS in Early Childhood Development you can work in a daycare center. Eastern Oklahoma State College offers the AAS in Meat Processing and Food Safety, a degree that would get you a job in a butcher shop or a meat processing plant. Fayetteville Technical Community College's AAS in Funeral Service Education will get you a job as a funeral director. If you go to paramedic school, and then get your associates degree in applied science, you are able to bo do the 9-10 month paramedic to RN bridge course. There will be a little bit more than just 10 months. But it will clip you out of a lot of school since paramedics can do so much more than RN,s. Just having the degree in itself will help you get an entry level position. I think it depends more on how assertive you are and how well you fit into the work environment in which you plan to work than having the "right" degree. Email [email protected]. It's the virtual advisor at Pima Community College, but he/she can give you good information on where to go from here. The question is, "AAS in what?" Knowing the "what" will tell you "what" you can do with the degree.
