Whats better for the environment: 1 bath or 2 showers?

it depends really how long the shower lasts/or how full the bath is

2 showers as long as they are short (5 min or less) and you use a low flow shower head.

As long as you pay your own water bill, I think that as long as you bathe regularly, how you bathe is your own business. It's a very personal experience and it affects your mood the rest of the day. Even if there were actual environmental consequences to how people bathe, they are consequences to the way tens of millions of people bathe - the planet doesn't hang in the balance. All that hangs in the balance is the level of satisfaction you derive from a daily ritual.

Depends on many things. Most newer shower heads restrict water flow to around 3.5 gallons a minute max. . .this would equal around 35 gallons for a 10 minute shower Your bathtub may be bigger than mine. So, measure length times width times depth of the water and multply by 7.5 to get the amount of gallons in your tub... or any other vessel. Let's say, 75 to 80 gallons. So, two 10 minute showers are likely less than one bath. Plus, whoever is number 2 in the bath - how clean are they going to be after sitting in number 1's human soup. The water's going to be luke warm... :)

why in the name of hell would you share bath water, it like sitting in another persons dirt, it doesn't matter if he is your partner or not it's still very unhygienic! but on to my answer, i would say that one bath would be better but i would also suggest getting a shower installed in the bath aswell if you don't already have one just in case you feel like taking the odd shower...

1 bath = loads of water 2 showers = Hardly any water

If you are showering longer than 20minutes then you have used less water than a bath, therefore if u and your partner are in the shower longer that the combined time on 20minutes then it would be more efficient to bath. However, i tend to think that in baths your sitting in your dirt where as in the shower its just running off - Just a thought
