How To Save Electricity?

How to save Energy??? Electricity....?

  • In recenttimes saving power/electricity has become one of the important part of life. So tell me how can we save Electricity

  • Answer:

Since you are asking specifically about electricity, I will answer about that only. Open your curtains/blinds during the day to use natural lighting for your home or office. Set your A/C thermostat to 78 in the summer (wear lightweight clothing) and 65 (?) in the winter (wear a sweater and use a blanket). Turn off the lights when you leave a room - every time. Even if you're going to be right back. If you fall asleep watching TV, set your sleep timer. If you don't have a sleep timer, turn it off before you go to sleep. Switch your regular light bulbs with CFL's if that's possible. When it cools down outside, turn off your A/C and open up your windows. Watering your yard at night actually cools the outside air around your house and therefor cools your house if you open your windows. Did I forget anything? Probably... but it's a good start.

Renewable energy sources like solar, wind, biomass etc may help up to a point, provided we take the following additional steps: Curb the rapid increase in human population; check the wastage in the consumption of non-renewable resources; check the over-pollution of the natural environment and most important of all, engage in a massive, world-wide afforestation project to help recycle atmospheric carbon dioxide as well as prevent the rapid spread of deserts all round the world. [The rate at which the Sahara desert for example is advancing South, I would not be surprised if half of the African continent became a desert in just 100 more years!!!]. Plant a tree a year, or support its planting elsewhere. We would indirectly be making more energy available for our insatiable use.

by being aware of what your doing at all times , like don't drive unless you need to, turn off unneeded things where ever you live and work if appropriate. buy green things and recycle what you can, develop a green mind and study to improve. think about the planet before yourself.there are thousands of ways to be green , look listen and feel the effects, I'm going to green by getting off this machine and going outside to work.........
