Record-breaking temperatures in California and drought. More signs of extreme global warming?

Record 100 degree temperatures in April and the worst drought in history. Maybe the deniers will wake up and save the planet before it is too late.

Answer:
That doesn't actually prove global warming. Ground level temperatures fluctuate all the time. Now I am not saying there is no such thing as global warming, but you can't assume this is the reason for those things you reported. And by the way, there would be no reason to save the planet as you claim, the planet will bounce back without our help, we just might not survive the trip. Earth is very capable of fixing the problem.

The drought may be a sign of global warming, because it requires several years of unusual conditions to make a drought. But you can't blame short-term weather conditions like the heat wave on global warming.

Worst drought in history? That is news to me. The news article from the Sacramento bee said if we get another dry year.... We aren't even rationing water Department of water resource says it is below average. That happens on average every other year. They always hype anything short of peek snowfall because we in SoCal live in a desert. We get hot weather when high pressure pushes the air down from the deserts. I remember 20 years ago it was 105 in March. It is normal California weather.

They won't "wake up." The evidence has been there for years and they've ignored it. What makes you think more evidence will change their minds? Besides, what good would it do if the deniers did accept the facts? surely you don't think that bunch of losers could save themselves, much less anyone or anything else?

That doesn't prove anything droughts come and go as they have for your years. Actually your current drought situation may actaully be part of a normal cycle that you happen to share with Western Africa.

The earth goes through Global Warmings and Ice Ages all the time. There is really nothing to do about that. Going green can slow the process down, but there is no way to prove it.
