planting 647 trees. They will take CO2 out of the atmosphere. Killing 753 kills will stop their farts but then you either have to eat them (then we produce methane and CO2 :P) or let them rot (producing methane and CO2).

Sounds like a loaded question, but here goes. Planting the trees, because more than likely the meat would be sold to a market and the money would provide the incentive to repeat the process, and replace them, unless there was a perverted cow serial killer on the loose.

Not that simple. The methane that cows produce is 22 times more potent than CO2. Trees emit CO2, the total amount they absorb is limited. The type of tree, the place you plant it and the type of soil all has impacts on how much carbon it stores. We need to reduce emissions as we cannot possibly offset emissions by planting trees, there is not enough land on earth to plant the number of trees required to offset fossil fuel emissions (about 7x the amount of plants on land right now). So rather than kill the cows, I'd say stop breeding them and to stop breeding them people have to stop eating them (and their products like milk, leather etc) to reduce the demand. Sad but true. PS it is not farts from cows producing methane, it is the regurgitation of their food when they chew it multiple times).

None of the above. Kill the cows, cook (Refer to Charlie Sheen's Winning Recipies), put the remains in the ground, plant mulberry trees over their skinned, fleshless bodies, import silkworms, place silkworms on mulberry trees, hire workers to collect silk. Economy saved!

Dont look for the crow, look for trees. Planting trees can minimise global warming. Others can be done slowly one by one.....!
