What will happen when the ice caps melt?

What will happen when all the ice caps from the north and south poles melt will we die or live????????????????

  • What should we do complain or just sit there and wait intill the humans die?

  • Answer:

When the polar ice caps melt, the coasts of every country will be submerged in water, the best thing in that situation will be to move to higher ground, this is horrible since it means that many of the east coast states will become mostly submerged in water. Without moving, we will die (if one lives on the coasts), or live by moving and leaving all that means something to you in the drowning lands. Do something about it! Write to senators and assemblymen/women to support of the creation of greener activities and benefits for those that go green, lets try and make a change before its too late.

at the very least, all the oceans levels will rise by several feet and, yes, all coastal areas worldwide will most likely be severely inundated and uninhabitable. i hope we can slow global warming enough for this not to happen at least for many more years.

Oh, I'm sure some of us will survive. We are a very adaptable species. The polar bears? They're screwed.

How long can you tread water?

We'll probably drown to death, and we should complain, because it will be the last complaining we'll ever do. =)

do your homework, wow... if temperatures rise, then it stands to reason that evaporation will increase as well; right? well where is all that water going to go. if this SCARY scenario plays out, then snowfall would increase at the poles. it is all but impossible for the polar ice caps to melt completely. google video: global warming swindle...this is only the start... do your homework. don't believe the hype.

When the polar ice caps melt, remote Eskimo tribes will become extinct, as will the polar bear. Then BOTH coasts of BOTH major oceans will see extraordinary changes in weather patterns, bringing unbelievable floods, tornadoes, and powerful hurricanes destined to destroy the cities that stand it their ways. And, like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, we will do NOTHING until the pot starts to boil over. Then we'll start screaming in agony over our own apathy. And our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will suffer the consequences of our squanderous squalor. When they discover that we KNEW this was going to happen, and CHOSE to do NOTHING, they will ask, "WHY, Grandpa? WHY did you waste all of Earth's natural resources? Why did you squander it all on yourselves?" And...HOW will we answer them?? -RKO- 05/15/07

If humans were wiped from earth it would probably a good thing for the planet. The earth would go back to its natural state relatively quickly. If the ice caps melted, the entire planet would not be completely flooded, mostly the coastlines and low lying areas, so humans would still be around. http://images.thetimes.co.uk/TGD/picture/0,,351113,00.jpg
