You would most likely study everything in college and then do field studies under some one who works in the specific area that you wish to cover. I think you really mean Ecologist. Wildlife Biologists tend to work with individual populations of individual species. They can work in any biome, but they don't study the biome itself, just the species of interest and the variables that interact with them. An Ecologist is all about how things (plants, animals, water, nutrients, etc.) relate to eachother within a given population, ecosystem, biome, etc.
