Why do people only care about endangered animals when they are cute, fluffy, or unique!?

i dont know! It IS extramly unfair, and i dont no how people can not care about an animal in need no matter the looks. it is purely unfair.

A little harsh on deskpotato me thinks...after all its true what he said. As regard to wanting to save uglier creatures I don't think you have all the facts do you? Not everyone likes pandas but may love a spider so everyone has their own opinion on which animal should be saved. Its all a food chain issue...when one species goes the next part of the chain goes too and so on and so on until nothing is left. I hardly think a whale is cute or fluffy and plenty of us want to save them. So rather than having ago at someone who has a right to answer your question as they see fit...why not ask a more informed and sensible question.

The earth is inextricably interwoven, everything is connected. Endangered animals may not seem important to the existence of humans but they are. Starving children throughout the world are more important but that doesn't negate the fact that we need to be concerned about losing our endangered animals as well.

About 25,000 young children die every day, mainly from preventable causes. In 2007, 9.2 million children under five died, surely they deserve to be saved more; they've already got it bad. lets work on what matters most.
