What are some endangered animals that are unknown to most people?

Why do people spend time taking care of endangered animals?

  • People waste a lot of money and time to keep them alive why not just leave them into the wild? Isn't that just nature?

  • Answer:

They're only dieing because of us. Our pollution, hunting them, pouching, fires. We are killing them off so if we let them die we would probably die too. It messes with the food chain and some things over populated and some more die then we get the impact of it all

its not nature when humans started interfering. For example the leapord and elephants in africa are endangered because of the ivory and fur trade...nature isnt using animal parts for decoration. Sharks are endangered because we over hunt them....This is not natural!!! Or global warming that has caused polar bears to become endangered. And it is worth every single dime to try and help these animals. firs of all it is the ethical thing to do they do not deserve to die!!! And also ecosystems will fall apart if we do not try and save them while we can.

Because humans caused these animals to become extinct, so now some of us are trying to make up for it! I wish people would realize just how much damage we have done and try to help...

They do that because it would be terrible if you were to die simply because no one cared to aid you in your need. Get it?

1) The world is a richer place with more diversity. 2) The same reason that your parents took care of you and probably still do. You never know when some animal is going to prove useful in some way, the same way that your parents couldn't tell whether you were going to save the world or destroy it if you ever become an adult. I suspect that you will be a smidge closer to the former. like most people.

It's NOT a waste of money or time. If you are so indifferent to other life forms, then maybe we should leave You types to die in the wilderness! Get back your moral & ethical senses!

1. Because of their hobby and interest, 2. For spending their leisure time. 3. So on.

They want to conserve nature. If they just left them alone there would be a lot of great animals that are extinct

It's to retain the 'natural' ecosystem, but to be fair, I am not sure all 'activists' actually see it that way, hence the term 'tree-hugger' to indicate someone more interested in preserving a tree regardless of the importance of the tree. The essence of the problem is that the industrial revolution and other human activities have affected certain animals and driven many to extinction - maybe doesn't seem terribly important, but usually there is a knock-on effect. For example, if you set traps for all the spiders in your house because you don't like spiders, the unexpected effect is that you may well become over-run with flies and other small insects that the spiders would naturally have eaten. Considering the fact that we are still discovering species on an almost daily basis, we should take care to retain the natural balance where possible in order to maintain the planet. In many cases species that have died out in areas are now being re-introduced for instance the UK is trying to establish beaver colonies to replace long lost populations (not a euphemism!)
