Do you have to start singing lessons early to be a Professional singer?

I'm 20 and I want to start singing lessons but I've never had lessons before so I'm wondering is it to late and is my voice ruined?

Answer:
No. 1000s of the best singers and performers in the world never had vocal training. HOWEVER, it wouldn't hurt to have a dozen or so, as they can bring out the best in your voice and guide you in the right direction of singing... So for that reason, I would say 'get a few, yes...' Good luck!

its never too late lol. the only reason why ppl say that its good to start it young is bcuz its easier to get into the business as a teen/kid rather than an adult. Plus you have more time to work on your voice if your younger. But nothing is stopping you. age is nothing but a number. you should take singing lessons

It's not to late. It's never to late. But, I'm telling you, wasting your money on lessons that aren't good will do nothing to your voice. Everyone has a unique sound to there voice and singing lessons are meant to bring that sound ''out.'' Choose carefully. But, in the meanwhile, while you're waiting for those lessons. Go here: www.cyberbass.com That website is a much easier and faster way to help your voice get stronger. Click on the ''vocal exercises'' link.

Its not to late, it just comes more naturally to some people. You dont have to have to get a vocal coach (i didnt) just look up on line and practice an hr or two and you'll notice a pretty big improvement. give it about a half a yr-year and it will be as natural as talking to you.

There are no rules that say singers have to be young.. and 20 is hardly old is it? If you enjoy singing and want to improve.. then yes.. take singing lessons.
