How can someone train their voice to sing?

of course you can take it from someone who learned to sing at the age i am now which is 14 anyone can learn how to sing but you have to have soul you have to make it reach to ppl

I'm sorry but voice trainers cannot perform miracles. They basically train what is already there. Training is about developing technique and polishing raw talent. You have to be able to sing naturally already though, otherwise there is no hope. You will know all the tricks of the trade but people will still wince the minute you open your trap! Tell your friend to spend her money elsewhere! :-) However, some people aren't exactly beautiful singers but their voices have character. If you can't sing in tune I think you should give up. If you can sing in tune and your voice is unusual but still carries the song then that could be very cool. I still think you should refer to above though. If it aint there, no teacher is going to find it!

First step she should go to a good musician, some people just got it. If the musician said that she is no good, the only way to become a good singer is to learn to play an instrument. If she plays any musical instrument she will learn to sing. even if she is an awful singer. And remember singing is not about having a beautiful voice, it is about singing correctly. ex; bee gees don't have a nice voice, but they sing beautifully. Do not ever say that her voice is not singing material. and by the way i am a pro singer my job is singing so trust me...

go to voice lessons or just sing "dor re mi fa so la shi do" everyday and ur voice will get higher everytime you try!

Sadly some voices are not train-able, there are really 3 types as I can see, natural singing voice, normal but you can train on, and ones that shouldnt give up their day jobs. If you are a good friend and shes really that bad, no point wasting her time.

I was sort of born with cause started singing at age of 3 in half. but i was not feeling it anymore at age 5. then right after I turned 8.My sister took me in the room because she wanted to see how my voice has been doing. so I could not sing anymore but it took about 30 min. b4 u know it! i had my voice where i wanted it and now I am a pro.! so beware when you see me on Disney channel, or in a magazine even on t.v. Jameila! Well it is Pronounced Ja-may-la. but you get the point!:)
