For god sake get some lessons.

Start off by searching for vocal lessons on youtube. Most of them aren't very thorough, but it is a good start at least. In the morning when you wake up, just hum a song and do not begin using a strong singing voice till later in the day. Drink hot tea. Try Myspace Karaoke--you can play back what you have recorded and then your husband can listen to it afterward. Just keep practicing and try to stay confident. I get scared sometimes too, but it's important to think positive.

well, as far as the whole "singing in public" thing, I dunno, that just sounds like anxiety or self consciousness...but if you think your voice is "weak" now, it's because you need to sing MORE...NOTHING helps singing MORE THAN SINGING...and then singing some more. constant practice will build your voice back up. once you do that and are happy with the way you sound again, maybe you can regain your confidence good luck....just keep practicing.there really is no "magic" trick to it. practice, practice, practice.

record yourself, and then listen to it. It can help you find what you need to improve. good luck!
