The most delicious dessert on Thanksgiving is pumpkin pie, I have always used the one on the Libby's pumpkin can and it always comes out perfect. A little cool whip on top tops it off just fine. My family also likes chocolate cream pie but I just go to the store and buy a name brand one, they are so good, there is no way I could make one that good! For salad I like to make the seven layer lettuce salad. In a clear casserole dish or a 9x15 cake pan layer chopped or shredded lettuce lettuce, one onion diced, 10 ounces of frozen peas, then spread mayonnaise over it to seal, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar on the mayo, one cup shredded cheddar and 6 slices bacon that has been cooked and crumbled. Of course you can add other veggies on top of the lettuce layer if you want to. Cover the salad well and put in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. I never make any soup for Thanksgiving, there is always a ton of other foods to eat...
