Is USPS Closed completely on Thanksgiving?

Are stores closed the day before Thanksgiving?

  • I called Walgreen's and the answering machine said they were closed. Why is that? Are all stores closed before Thanksgiving and why?

    I'm pretty sure that it was open today, why wouldn't it be? Maybe it closed early??

Most are closed, but some of the notorious "24-7" stores, (Wal-Mart, some grocery stores, etc.) will be open at least part of the day. I believe I read somewhere that most Wal-Mart stores will not be closed for Thanksgiving.
