Thanksgiving USA: Awful Lawful or Grace Us?

It's the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade... not Macy's Day and it's an American institution, which may have started out as an advertisement for Macy's as a way to promoting the day after Thanksgiving as a day of greats sales, but hey, we are American, that's what we do. The word "Thanksgiving" is only mentioned once in the book of Revelations....Rev. 7:11-12 . "11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: “ Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Which has nothing to do with anything.

Thanksgiving is about being with your family and being thankful for all the great things you have in your life. Stop being such a martyr and smile! ~LIS~

a biblical look at thanksgiving? where in the bible was thanksgiving mentioned? i must have skipped that part! your rant really doesn't make any sense. anyone who has had basic u.s. history in elementary school knows the story behind thanksgiving.

Say what? Really, are you this unhappy? Thanksgiving for my family is a time for all of us to get together and catch up and talk, and laugh, etc..... we have a ton of fun and I look forward to it every year. We also take quite a bit of time before eating to pray and talk about what we're thankful for and remember no matter what any of our problems are we are still very, very blessed. Watching the football games afterwards or playing board games is also something I look forward to. I hope you find someone or something to make you happy and thankful this year. Everyone should be able at some point to consider that they are thankful for their life, home, family, job, health, etc...
