Answer:
Thanksgiving is on the last Thursday of November. It's held in honor of the first settlers in America, the Pilgrims of Plymouth Plantation in Massachusetts, surviving their first winter with the aid of the local Native Americans. The following harvest time they invited the Indians to join them for a feast to share their "thanks giving". Hope this helps explain things! It is an American holiday.

Thankgsgiving is a day that Americans set aside to give thanks for everything in our lives. It is also supposed to commemorate the first meal that the Pilgrims had with the Indians that already lived here...that is why we have food such as turkey and corn on the cob. It is always the 4th Thursday in November.

Thanksgiving is the festival towards the end of November when Americans celebrate a point in their history. The settlers had no food, and it was coming up to winter, so the native Americans gave them some food, and they ate together.

Thanksgiving is at the end of November, and I think its just an American thing. The Pilgrams and Native Americans basically got together to celebrate the autumn harvest. www.history.com will give you more info.

Thanksgiving has been celebrated in the last Thursday in November since 1939 when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt made that an official national holiday. It's the time to give thanks to God. All of this happened in the town of Plymouth in the Massachusetts colony back in 1621. The story behind this (and I'll make it quick for you) was when the colonists, the Puritans from your native country, survived their first winter with help from the local aboriginal tribe. Then they celebrated the holiday with them and gave thanks for their help. And thus, the history of Thanksgiving has begun in this country. The tradition of the holiday has been unchanged since then. I hope this helps you out, man. You could read more about it at the link below. Happy reading!!!! :)
