  • Answer:

We always have Thanksgiving at our house. We invite our children and their families which fills the house. We usually tell their friends they are welcome to come by for pie and coffee or to play games throughout the day. After we eat the lunch meal, we usually clean up the kitchen and set up some card tables, we play games that the kids can play also, like Yahtzee, marble games and simple card games. Later we snack on pie and take a walk, the men usually like to watch football, some do not however. We always set out a puzzle if anyone wants to work on it, and have a bunch of fun games that we like to play throughout the day and the evening. One game we love to play is Balderdash, even the kids can play it, also cherades is popular, Train game all kinds of card games. Sometimes with our evening meal we have a glass of wine. We always have a great time!

Hey! Don't forget the pumpkin pie!! I LOVE pumpkin pie. This year I'm getting presents on Thanksgiving. Because my birthday is on Thanksgiving this year! ;)

I celebrate Thanksgiving alone with turkey, corn, greens, mashed potatoes, cake, pumpkin pie and put up christmas decorations.

Well, I wouldn't say "party" exactly. In my family, everyone shows up around noon. Dinner usually doesn't get served until between 3:00 and 4:00 P.M. I'm the only football fan in the bunch, so I steal off to a TV where I can see how the games are going. We all chow down, eating everything in sight except for the dessert. Then comes our "party," and you'll love this . . . after the dishes are cleaned, everyone takes a nap! When we wake up, it's getting dark and we reassemble to make the pies (pumpkin and pecan) and the ice cream disappear. Meanwhile, family members reconnect, stories are told, and plans & dreams for the coming year are discussed. It's all over way too soon. Oh yeah, some of us vow that we will NEVER eat that much again! But after so many years I finally learned to stop fighting it!

we go to a party and the parents, aunts, etc. we basically dress anything we want

We buy turkey meat and cook it. Also make sauce from cranberries. We stay home. No friends, just enemies. We don't invite them over.
