In the USA,,,do most people work on the day before Thanksgiving?

I work the days before and after Thanksgiving. But then, I work retail and feel lucky I even get Thanksgiving off...

Although many work places will have a lighter work load day on the Wednesday before, and some will even let their workers off a little early because of the Thanksgiving holiday. No one would be off on the day before Thanksgiving, unless they specifically took that day off. Having the Friday after Thanksgiving off, depends on the employer you have. Banks and government employees do work on Friday. But there many companies give that day off to their employees. Schools are never open on that Friday.

Almost everyone has Friday off since its considered part of the holiday weekend and many people have traveled out of town to spend the holiday with their family.
