What time do you usually eat thanksgiving meal?

7-8 pm !

Late afternoon, about 4 or 5.

At night.

We'll be eating around 2... Everyone usually goes back for 2nds (some 3rds) around 6 :) I usually eat enough to keep me full the entire day.. My b/f's family is big on making ridiculous amounts of food. I read a great tip on women's health website on one way to make it through the meal... They said if you're eating with people who's goal is to see you eat, fill your plate with veggies and white meat and then just put a spoon of the high-fat, high-carb, high-everything stuff on top to give the illusion that you have lots of rich sides on your plate... not sure if it will give the illusion I'm hoping for but it's worth a shot!

For many years, our family always ate around 1 to 2PM. Odd hour, I know. It was a huge production - 60+ family members in my grandmother's small home. We had to eat in shifts. lol Men and children ate first. Then the women. By the time everyone had an opportunity to eat it was time for dinner and the grazing began again! Gosh I miss those days. Today it's just my son and myself. I had originally intended for a "traditional" 5 o' clock meal. However since my turkey will be done in about an hour and my son still isn't out of bed, I suspect he will wake up hungry and we'll eat then!

We usually start eating around 3 because that leaves time to eat, enjoy, have desert, and bond with the family. it also depends on if you haveany plans afterwards. if you do your goin to want time to digest and relax.
