    no they do go to the mosque, as every man does. :) i live in a very non religious muslim country and even though so many women go to the mosque that day! See its all like how there are so many branches of christianity, and as there are so many crazy ppl, and very fundamentalists ,there are those who thinks of similar rights of men and women and who read the quran for themselves and have no one telling them what to believe... and yeah about who said they dont have a section for women thats indeed a shame, some very stirct wrong politicians who change religion for their benefits! believe me , islam always focused on women's role in the society and yet some countries just keep on going very blindly into some stupidities...look at them now in the wolrd its like they are on the 1st centery...pffff, dla Merde! *excuse my english lol* blessings!

Are you kidding me? Forget about women, even the little baby have to go that day! I mean every one have to go on Eid day. All those ppl who are saying "not in my family or no" -is just their own culture or weren't good practicing Muslims int he first place -its your own fault if you don't go. The prophet said, even a woman that have menstrual period should come to Eid prayer -so no excuse. -Nowayds days even women come to mosque on regular prayers because they work outside of the house.

I am from bangladesh and we have some mosques that have female sections where the women can come on eid day to pray. but this is very rare and yes,a shame indeed.

Not in my family, it's just something that hasn't been practiced. Here are some reasons as to why: 1) Umar (RA) disliked for women to go the mosque. 2) A'isha (RA) - Allah be well-pleased with her - that tended to forbid the women from going to the mosques, including for the five prescribed prayers let alone Tarawih. She gave her reason in the famous statement: "If the Messenger of Allah had seen what the women of our time do, he would have forbidden them to go to the mosques just as the Israelite women were forbidden." Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and the books of Sunan. 3) The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said that the best place for a woman's Salat is in the privacy of her house, and in another narration: in the privacy of her room. If something approaching the function and purposes of this private space can be reduplicated in the mosque, it should be welcome as something close to Wajib, not fought.

YES !..they do go to mosque but if there is not place for ladies in nearby mosque...then they don't have to go!

Salam I don't see why not. They are no different in that day or any day for that matter. Only the most ignorant of places don't allow both to enter.
