    As said before....he basically influenced every jazz musician...if they know it or not. Metheny actually just criticized Kenny G for playing over Satch's music to make a cd of his own. It was supposed to sound like Kenny G was playing with him and Metheny was so offended he wrote a whole essay about it and it's easily available online. It just shows that the guy was practically worshipped in the jazz world and still is.
