What to wear to a jazz class?

  • So im entering a beg/inter jazz class and this is my first time trying out jazz in a really really long time. what do you wear and are some tips when it comes to jazz dance thanks :)

    Don't know about class, but I often wear a flashy tie when I play jazz concerts. Then again, that's for jazz MUSIC, not dance.

you won't find any good answers here. this is the musical genre jazz, not dance. suggest you look in a dance category.

top- tight tanktop black or white jazz pants- bootcut or flared at the bottom The main thing is that you can see the body lines lines, so keep that in mind. Hope you have fun! :)

Clothes. I think clothes would be a good idea. I don't know anything about dance, but I do watch the dance team at my school from time to time because dance and jazz band is during the same period. They wear all black, stuff they can move in. So I would go with a cami or teeshirt and cotton pants? Leggings maybe, with shorts or something. Something that is very easy to move it and nonrestrictive. Probably the best you can do until you know for sure.

I would guess you can wear anything as long as your not wearing a baseball cap or tshirt.
