  • Answer:

Sometimes you can get an airy sound when your air is not focused. Try to blow a tighter more focused warm air stream. Imagine your trying to get all the air coming out of you body to fit into the end of a push-pin. By warm air i mean fast moving, kind of like the way you would exhale after a long run, while in cold air you would breathe wide. That is what the warm versus cool air means, if that makes any since to you. Lol. I hope that helps. C:

First, take it to a shop to make sure it doesn't have any leaks or something wrong with the instrument itself. Then, try tightening and loosening your embouchure, try different positions on the mouthpiece. If that still doesn't work then go to a shop and try different mouthpieces and buy a different type of reed.

Tighten your embouchure or use a slightly softer reed.
