Johnny Cash vs. Waylon Jennings?

Johnny. Simple reason: My parents had more of his records when I was little. I think Waylon was a better singer, though.

I love Johnny, but bein a Texan, I have to go with Waylon. I love the outlaw music style. I also like Shooter.

Well, this is much more difficult to answer than your Loretta vs. Taylor question. I love both Cash and Waylon so I'm afraid I can't choose a "best" on this one.

Johnny Cash just because I think he is better, but I do love Waylon's work on Mick Jaggers movie New Kelly the old movie not the new one. But my two favorite country singers are Johnny Horton, and David Alan Coe. take care dave

How does one answer this question? lol They are both great! I'd say Johnny Cash because he married a great lady. His marriage to June Carter is one of the best love stories in country music.

They're both great but I would probably take Waylon if I had to choose.I find myself listening to him more than Johnny.

Waylon for me, love his voice. do like Johnny Cash also but Waylon better.

...I have seen both in concert,and I have albums and CDs of both,but the "Outlaw" movement brought Waylon to the front so I will have to go with Waylon.
