  • Answer:

Mimona this year was celebrated last nite (Sunday, April 27th) at sundown when Passover officially ended. It is always celebrated at the end of Pesach, and our was a delightful evening of Isreali songs, primarily with the Ladino and Morrocan influence and morrocan desserts ...so there was a taste delight for alll the senses...visual, audio, smell and tastes. In Israel, Mimouna was Saturday night (last day of Passover) Outside of Israel, we celebrate an extra day...so Passover is over tonight. Mimouna is about an hour passed sundown tonight! I can't wait. I am Moroccan, and some friends of mine are getting together for tea w/mint, moufletta, zaban, meringues, sweet Moroccan cigars...I am sure you can find a good Mimouna, maybe at a Sephardic synagogue???
