Is there Kosher for Passover peanut butter?

Passover!!!!!!!!!!?

  • does anyone kno if popcorn is kosher for passover? how about peanut butter? and is it true that coke isn't because of the corn syrup? im not uber strict on the rules but i try to ...show more

  • Answer:

It really depends on where your family comes from. If you are Ashkenazi (from Eastern Europe) then you are forbidden to eat any legumes (called Kitnyot in hebrew). This includes: rice, peanuts, green beans. You also cannot eat corn. If you are Sephardic (from Spain, Israel, Western Europe) then you are able to eat kitnyot. Coke is now kosher for passover. When you buy your coke products make sure to look at the top of the cap, there should be a P on it denoting that it is kosher for passover.
