Even though I love classical music, I don't like listening to it while doing homework because it promotes listening to music passively. When you're doing homework, and putting your full thought into it, the music in the background, no matter what it is just becomes noise, in my experience. Also, I find that I love the music so much it distracts me sometimes haha. I get more caught up in the music than I do in the homework. So, if you're going to listen to something while doing homework, try techno or something with a very distinct beat and not too much going on at once. That's just me, though.

Yeah, I agree with Geoff. I love Bach but dislike listening to his work as 'background music' - if you think about it, you really need your brain for Bach. I also tried to listen to all of the Brahms Sonatas while studying for a math test, and of course failed the test because I ended up getting so caught up in the music! Listen to French court music such as Lully or Rameau if you absolutely must, it doesn't require too much attention, in my opinion.

Little One

Ok, well definitely nothing from the Romantic Period(but you should listen to some as a regular listening thing not as passive noise, I recommend Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky) Listen to Bach Well Tempered Clavier, 48 lovely pieces, it loses some of its spark if you just use it for passive music, but it's still good Pachelbel's Canon Handel Harpsichord Suite Scarlatti Keyboard Sonatas(I forgot how many he made, I think 555 but I'm not sure) That should be good for you, but yeah give classical(the composers i listed in the parentheses) a chance, you said you listen to all types of music..here I'll give you a small intro into some classical music Rachmaninoff Prelude in g minor Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody friska Liszt Grand Galop Chromatique
