Maybe Mendelssohn "Songs Without Words" Your teacher would be the best to recommend a piece since he/she knows your ability.

I would differ from other people's answers. Don't play some thing overplayed but still play a beautiful piece check out: Rachmaninov - Moment Musical No. 3

Which piece you should play depends on your level. How long have you been playing the piano? What pieces have you been learning? There's no way to suggest a particular to people of different technical and musical accomplishments. Now assuming that you are really at recital level, then who is your favorite composer? What styles have you been learning? Most people will love some Beethoven or Mozart sonatas. Mendelssohn' s Song without words are popular pieces as well. Chopin's ballads are not less cherished. If you intend to play only one piece at your recital, there are not many options besides those. Again, what piece you should play largely depends on your ability and tastes.

well there are a lot of pieces that you could play. It really depends on how long you have been playing. One of my favorites is Fur Elise,( this is really great watch it) by Beethoven. The best thing though is to go to youtube and search in channels "smalin" a lot of classical music and you can even (sort of) see how it is played (like the beats and where it get high and low) and you can see what you like. Have a great recital and Hope this helps ;P

Well, people use to like a lot in a recital when a pianist plays Chopin, Beethoven or Mozart. If you're starting with this piano stuff, you can play some easy sonatas from Mozart or Beethoven. Or a prelude by Chopin. But in my opinion, I enjoy a lot works from Rachmaninov, but of course, they need to be worked a lot. Greetings.
