I found the fix to the slow water flow problem. IT'S FREE. Shut off water supply. Remove water filter mwf type. Get a clean toothbrush, pour some rubbing alcohol on the brush. look for the tiny button to the right of the o rings on the filter assembly. Brush the button and carefully push in and out the button several times with handle of the brush or a tool. The button is only corroded and sticking. Replace filter and turn water back on. This simple fix brought my slow water flow back to normal. 2009 GE Model# GSH25JSXL SS

The first thing to do is check the water pressure coming out of the line AT the refrigerator. Where this one comes from makes it a two person job... First turn it off at the connection, disconnect it at the fridge, hold the end over a bucket, and have the other person turn it back on. If you have good pressure( what you would want coming out of the dispenser), then check the screen in the valve that it hooks up to. If not enough pressure, the problem could be in the attachment to the pipe, the valve, or the line. Good luck.

We recently had an appliance technician repair our icemaker in a GE Profile side by side refrigerator after he finished installing our brand new stainless steel combination microwave/wall oven. I had fixed a minor problem with the icemaker a few years back, but I told my wife I wasn't about to pay a $100 for a service call so we had reverted to making ice cubes using trays via separate freezer in our garage and then dumping them back into the cube reservoir to get crushed ice. FYI the initial service call diagnosis was $49 (we didn't have to pay twice since he already charged it to the wall oven installation) but the water flow was corrected when the technician pulled the refrigerator out and replaced the water inlet valve ($58 to $129 for part itself) plus $30 labor. FYI the technician said it was a common problem which is why he carried several on his truck, and watching him closely the next time I plan to Do It Myself bec we simply pulled the refrigerator out and the inlet valve was located down at the floor level where all he simply did was remove some bolts and carefully reconnected several water lines. Good Luck!

Is the water slow coming out of the sink faucet? If not then it is not the water pressure. The fridge has a water filter built in to it, change it! IF the water at the faucet is low pressure too, then call a plumber, he will give you suggestions for a pump and prices. They can be inexpensive, but make sure you get a pressure reducing/regulating valve! This will let you turn the pressure down so you don't blow the pipes apart.
