Who are your Top 2 favorite classical composers? and what are your favorite compositions with the composers?

My favorite: Bach - Concerto for Oboe and Violin (in C Minor) My Second Favorite Cimarosa - Concerto for Oboe I'm an oboist, so of course my two favorites are oboe pieces :)

i would answer similarly: 1 - Beethoven choral fantasia third movement of moonlight (hate the others) 13, "Pathétique" - 3. Rondo: Allegro triple concerto most of the symphonies (not 1, 2, 4) etc 2 - this is more difficult so: Rachmaninov piano concerti 2 & 3 rhapsody on a theme of paganini Tchaikovsky violin concerto (i have 2 recordings) the piano concerto (yes, no 1) 1812 Brahms!! Piano concerti symphonies 1 & 4 (most familiar) haydn variations (both versions)

Beethoven pathetique sonata tchaikovsky piano concerto no. 1 they are my favortie.. but they barely beat.. liszt hungarian rhapsody no. 2 rachmaninoff piano concerto no. 2

I must give you the names of three composers: Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Handel. For Tchaikovsky, I love everything he wrote, but love the 1812 Overture best of all. For Beethoven, I like everything with the exception of his 5th Symphony, but my favorite is the 9th Symphony. Handel, again, I like everything, but my favorite is the Messiah ... played at Easter, the time it was written to be played, and was played first in Ireland. Having said that, there are many other composers I like, and my 'favorite' changes all the time, but the three composers, especially the 'favorite pieces' are certainly always in my 'top ten' ...

I rather like bach's double concerto. also, vivaldi's winter second movement is always nice.
