I love classical music, mostly just piano like Yiruma and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Anyone know any songs like those? And what is you favorite classical piece? 10 points!!! ...show more

Answer:
Mahler: Symphony No. 1 BW And I am actually horrified that you consider "Yiruma" as a classical composer. That just makes me want to vomit all over my lap.

How do you know that you like classical music? Based on those two pieces I'd say you haven't heard very much. Everyone has heard the moonlight and Yiruma is not even remotely classical. (Instrumental does not equal classical). So you may like classical music, maybe not. There is a lot more to classical music than solo piano. I'd guess you need to do a lot more listening before you can say that you love classical music. Try listening to Chopin's Ballades on the solo piano front and while you are at it... try some Symphonies - let's say Haydn's London Symphonies. Then if you still like the truly awful Yiruma, I'd be surprised.

Nice Choice! (Moonlight Sonata) with regard to yours. I must name more than one for me :D Serenade For Winds; K. 361; 3rd Movement Symphony No 25 In G Minor K 183 Allegro Requiem Dies Irae Rex Tremendae Majestatis Confutatis Lacrimosa

Oh, that's a tough one. Just one favorite? Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky: a suite in ten movements for piano. Good stuff!

Wow, with so many awesome pieces it's hard to chose. Kind of like being a kid in a candy score but I will give my vote to Chopin's Revolution as #1.Brahm's Hungarian Dance #2 a very close runner up. Sorry, it was too hard to pick betwen the two.

The 4th movement of Beethoven's 9th symphony (Ode To Joy) is my favorite.

Yeahh Yiruma definitely isn't considered "classical", but he's quite a good composer, and his songs are really pretty. I think you should broaden your classical music spectrum. It does seem like you haven't had much experience listening/playing classical. & Ohhh there's so many to choose from. Brahms- Hungarian Rhapsody is quite fun to listen to (: Mahler symphonies are fun too, and so is Dvorak's Carnival Overture & Berlioz La Corsare. Elgar Salut D'Amour is REALLY pretty, so is Liszt's Liebestraum and Passacaglia. Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov is also worth listening to. Uhh, some other fun songs to listen to: Paganini's La Campagnella, Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole, Bazzini- Round of the Goblins Scherzo Tarantelle- Wieniawski wooop, that's a lot, but those are a few of my favorites. Have funn listening...there's TONS out there(:
