  • Answer:

When celebrating Kwanzaa after Christmas, You usually set up a table with cloth on it if you haven't already. Put the kinara or candle holder on the table with the cables. If you lack space you would probably take your tree down first.

Of course! Christmas trees are an iconic part of Christmas, and Kinaras are an iconic part of Kwanzaa. Put a Christmas tree up and put the Kinara near by. They're both part of the Holiday Season, and many people celebrate them both.

THE SWARM

Folks celebrate both because the children grew up on Christmas instead of Kwanzaa. Plus it's hard tryna compete with the entire notion of Santa and all these gifts. Media supports and advertise for Santa and Mrs. Claus, the FOP support Santa since Santa renegotiated his contract and held the FOP responsible for ruining his image=$$. The Santa that represented him showed up drunk, failed the drug test and got sewed for sexual harrassment. A total of 50 children were crying. It was pitiful. He was wearing a construction hat instead of his Santa hat. anyway,............... Kwanzaa is similar to Hanakkuh. We celebrate Christmas which is, Kwanzaa(Swahili), 7 principles each day by the lighting of a different candle [in the menorah(candle holder)] each day. Thus celebrating family, community and culture.(No bull) Kwanzaa: Day 1 Umoja=Unity Day 2 Kujichagalia=Self Determination Day 3 Ujima=collective Work and Responsibility Day 4 Ujama=Cooperative Economics Day 5 Nia=Purpose Day 6 Kuumba=Creativity Day 7 Imani=Faith Incidentally, it's celebrated during the last week of the year, which is wonderful, because it slides right in with MLK,Jr., day followed up with Black Histoire Month which is also f/u with Easter egg tree.
