What ways is Kwanzaa similar to Hanukkah? What is Kwanzaa suppose to celebrate?

I used to think well of Kwanzaa the little I knew about it until I discovered that it begins the day after Christmas. This is at very least impolitic. Christmas is not a one-day holday but seemingly Kwanzaa would make it into one. Inasmuch as Blacks are Christian in large numbers I don't think that this will be a selling point. What's wrong with July?

Kwanzaa appears to be a fake "holiday" created by Ron Karenga, a convicted felon from California. It supposedly links African Americans to roots in Africa but, like most of these fake events, has more to do with enriching Ron Karenga than any connection to Africa tradition. In fact, nobody in Africa has ever heard of Kwanzaa.

Any celebration that focuses on selflessness, responsibility, community, cooperation, and faith should be celebrated no matter what its called, by any race. Separation by race or religion or real-estate or origin hides the beauty in the similarities that all "groups" have. People are people, we are all family. God is All.

Kwanzaa was made up by political types to help keep Blacks ISOLATED from mainstream American culture. By making a "special" black-only celebration it further promotes isolationism from western ideals and culture---Making them more cohesive as a monolithic group and easy to sway to and keep inside an exploiting vote generating machine to keep the exploiting party in power.
