You can but I PROMISE you that the over the counter stuff is not going to help get rid of your pink eye.

mmm I won't mix 2 different drops...one is a drug and you don't know their action once you mixed them with the ones for redness...just use one or the other

If you have been on the antibiotic for a few days and you eye is worse or no better, then the antibiotic is either not working or you are sensitive to it. You do not want to decrease the action of the treatment by diluting it with other eye drops. Ask your pharmacist for advice. You can dilute one teaspoon of salt in 500 ml (one pint) of water that boiled in the kettle and cooled down to room temperature. Rinse your eyes with it directly before the antibiotics are due. Do not rub your eyes.

No the eye drops go through your system like oral medication You could prolong the cure or create another problem

You can use homeopathic eye drops with your prescription eye drops. I have used the brand I will link to below three times on my daughter and recommend it to my coworkers for their children - same results each time - clears it up without a prescription. Homeopathics can be used by any one of any age with any other medication. Somebody gave me a thumbs down but I am so sure of what I have said that I encourage you to repost in natural medicine section. I hope you get well soon. Something else you can do is go to a herb store and purchase some calendula flowers. Boil them and dip a washcloth into the warm water (let it cool a bit after boiling), press this lightly against your eye. Calendula is wonderful for pink eye. Again, get well soon.
