Can you clean contacts of an eye infection?

Could you get an eye infection from sleeping with your contacts in?

    Unless your lenses are specifically designed to be worn continuously, this is a BAD idea and it is no wonder your eyes hurt! You need to get oxygen to your eyes which is why you take your lenses out when you sleep. listen to your eyes - you won't get spares. If they are daily lenses, dispose of them daily.

sleeping in contacts factually increases risk of corneal infection. if you sleep in your cntacts "every night" and your eye is red & bothering you, it is very possible that its an infection of some sort. super common. this is why we recommend to NOT sleep in them, despite patients thinking they know better. gotta go to the eye doc. not something to mess around with.

The heat while you sleep, makes a very good place for bacterias and other parasites betweem the lens and your eye. It is probably and infection.

there's a very good reason why people take their contacts out when they sleep. I think i heard somewhere during a radio interview or something and there was this guy who slept with his contacts all the time and the eye and the contacts fused together.
