Does wearing contacts stop your eyes from getting watery around onions?

It depends on the person and on the onion. Sometimes My eye water really bad with or without the contacts and sometimes they don't. It also depends on the ventilation. If it is a moajor improvement for you then be happy! COOL!

No because the contacts don't cover you tear ducts but to help when you get around onions it is proved that when you chew gum, any flavor, you don't cry. Hope this helps!

YES! I had laser eye surgery - YAY for good eyes, but now my eyes water all the time...I really miss having contacts. They act as a protective barrier. :)

Your contacts protected your eyes from the onions but they probably absorbed the juices of the onion and have changed their purity. Make sure that after you have been exposed to dust or other contaminants, like the onions, you clean your contacts real good.

Definetely not. I still get watery eyes, because it has to do with the gas onions release and your tear ducts. Contacts just cover up your cornea, not your tear ducts.
