Can I get contacts even if I have extremely bad vision?

I have a stigmatism in my left eye, and I am also LEGALLY blind in that eye, but I still wear contacts! So give it a try. It either works or it doesn't. It's not the same for everyone. Good luck though.. I know what it's like having your eyes as a big nuisance. ( I've been blind in one eye since I was born!)

as long as you dont have astigmatism you should be able to, people with very high astigmatism cant wear contacts

Oh course you can have contacts! You can have contacts weither your vision is 20/25 or 20/800! :)

Ask your doctor. That would be your best bet. I have 20/80 vision and im 13 years old. That means that I can see something perfectly at 20 feet that a normal person (w/ 20/20 vision) can see at 80 feet. It is pretty bad however I am a twin and bad eyesight can result in multiple births. I have been wearing glasses since 2nd grade. I am allowed to get contact lenses. Talk to your doctor because you will need to get a lense fitting and see which kind is good for you. Every person is different. That is why there are so many different kinds of contacts to get. Good luck with everything. I know your feeling!
