Answer:
your eyes have muscles and the only way to improve your vision is to exercise those muscles. it is getting hard for me to focus, so my optomitrist instructed me to take an object, preferably a pencil and start with it about a foot in front of my face and slowly bring it closer to my nose, making sure not to lose contact with the pencil, but not bringing it so close that you go completely cross eyed. Take it back out to about a foot in front of you and repeat the exercise. Doing this daily will help strenghthen your eye muscles and help your focus.

"is there any exercise involved in keeping eyes healthy.." It is not 'exercises' that are required to correct imperfect sight, but correct habits. These habits are - blinking, breathing, and shifting. A normal eye with central fixation is constantly shifting over small points in order to see the whole object. It is impossible to see all parts of an object at the same time, and any effort to do so is a strain. Demonstrate this fact to yourself by staring at a large area. A normal eye blinks appoximately every 3-4 seconds. To be of a benefit , the blink is light and rapid. Each blink is a rest to the eyes, and it is a fact that any rest to the eyes improves the sight. A person with normal vision also breathes abdominally. This is the natural way of breathing, as you can see by observing any newborn baby. Unfortunately, with the stresses of current society, we have lost these habits vital to maintaining natural sight, and have needed to rely on glasses for so many years. Strain is always a harm to the vision. Rest and relaxation is always beneficial to the vision. By rest and relaxation, many people around the world have been able to re-attain perfect sight and throw away their glasses. By relearning these three habits, may you restore your sight. This is the art of seeing in its truest form. Unfortunately, the majority opinion of eye professionals deny that it is possible to restore the sight. They claim there is no 'evidence' to support natural cure. Yet, so many people are able to improve their sight. They come up with silly excuses like 'oh, you must have had psuedomyopia, it wasn't REAL myopia' to evade the truth, when in actual fact many people with true myopia, presbyopia, far-sightedness etc. have improved their sight.. This is, in my view, pure ignorance. You only need to spend a few minutes on the 'sci.med.vision' Usenet group to see this yourself. "can long concentration on CRT spoil one's eyes??" It is possible. Just as it is possible for me to walk down my stairs, trip a step, fall down, and hurt myself. Same goes with looking at a computer for long hours at a time. If you maintain relaxation and central fixation, then there is no harm. The eyes *never* tire when used properly. Try Isotine eye drops Ofcourse eye exercise is very good for those who spend many hours in front of computer and TV. I was using glasses because i have slight long sight for one of my eye and other one is affected by cataract. After trying this eye drop for about fifteen twenty days my vision improved and now i can read without glasses. So it is worth trying this eye drops. Now I am using it daily since last october and so far no ill effect. I advised this drops to many people with vision problem. It is an Aurvedic preparation with no side effect. Seach in the web for Isotine eye drops to get there address. I suggest if there is no improvement in the condition even after 30 days you may discontinue. This is from my personal experience. You may also try Pranayama as well and I am sure it will help a lot for the overall health including the eyes. Good luck
