What catalytic events shook colonial America and Encouraged Independence?

America's Independence?

  • I see that America declared Independence in 1776, but the war of Independence didn't end until September 3, 1783... so when was U.S. Independence actually official?

  • Answer:

Same in the Philippines, independence was declared in 1898 but as you can see RP was colonized by Spaniards in 1521, the Americans in 1900 and the Japanese in 1942. But we follow June 12, 1898 as the official date regardless of the other liberation we got. America declared Independence in 1776, trust me, that was official

actually America never won, September 3rd of 1783 was when their independence was recognized and both wars ended in a draw. and there was more support in England for independence to be given than in the 13 colonies.

They legally seperated in July 1976 but england wasn't having that so they went to war about it and we won long story short.
