Answer:
You can celebrate whatever you want. I'm not even remotely close to being a Mexican, but I certainly celebrate Cinco DeMayo!

You most certainly can and what's more you can fly the flag of Jamaica and wear the state colours of Jamaica too. This is a free country and in spite of what you may have been told, the freedom which I enjoy as a total Welsh Barbarian Savage, is also available to you. I would not be seen dead flying any other flag than the Glorious Red Dragon of Wales - the Battle Standard of the late Roman Legions. Oh and one more thing, if you have not watched this at least 200 times, shame on yew! http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&site=&source=hp&q=100+metres+final+london+2012&oq=london+2012+100+me&gs_l=hp.1.0.0i8l4j0i22i10l5.3043.6680.0.10204.18.13.0.5.5.0.128.1230.5j8.13.0...0.0...1c.x0X1Zwc_ohI http://www.youtube.com/results?hl=en&q=100%20metres%20final%20london%202012&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=w1&gl=GB Now for the big one. . . . This next link explains the disparate nature of the British Tribes and that includes you by the way. UK EXPLAINED As a child I lived in the Town of Hastings where they celebrate the American Independence Day on 4th July every year - mad or what? In the 1830s they established the America Ground - all history now. . . .

Well I wouldn't say it would be "stupid" --- even though you are black-british your ancestors are from west Indies, so you can atleast join in and celebrate with them. My parents are from India but I was born in Saudi Arabia and had my upbringing in England. - so I fit in to nowhere lol ... - and when Indian independence arrives I just say "happy independence day" - that is joining in celebration --- but some people feel patriot about it and carry flags around with them and give party to others --- that is celebrating. ----- There is a difference between celebrating and being part of it. I bet you don't really patriot about and have pride in it -- because you were raised in different country.

Jamaica is your heritage and from where you really originated. Celebrate it with gusto just as those that live in Jamaica will be doing. You can also celebrate St Georges Day (April23rd) as well as a citizen of England.
