Do American children go to school on Independence Day?

No because fourth of the July is during our summer break so we arc off anyway.
It is a day of public celebratiob. if you are going to summer school, it will be observed as a holiday I guess you don't have a national day? such as bastille day, canada day, or independence day?

Seeing how it's summer vacation...they do get that day off. But hey, I'm Canadian. I celebrate Canada Day (July 1st). Yes, we get the day off school. We're on summer vacation, and it depends where you work.
