How do you use Roman candles?

Is it safe to use roman candles that were stored in a garage for one year?

  • I live in Boston, Massachusetts where we get hot summers and cold winter. Would it be safe to use them?

  • Answer:

yes, but especially since they are old, do not hold them, i know that if you leave slow visco fuse (the green type on most fireworks) out in open air for a month or more, they retain oxygen from the air and the fuse with light burn for a split second and relight and burn for a split second and do this until the fuse just goes out or eventually makes it to the fireworks, so dont hold it and don't pick it up if it doesn't light

Yeah, use em. I had bottle rockets in my garage for a year and they still worked perfectly.

they are completely usable

yea i have a bunch of old fireworks that i still play with so i think it would be safe as long as you put the bottle rockets in a pipe when you light them so you don't burn yourselfe.

only way to find out is to try them.. I would venture to bet that they are fine to use but you could always put one into something and let it shoot to find out.
