On what day was independence given to America?

It wasn't given at all. They decided they were taking it and so they declared their independence from Britain. They should have remained a colony, then they would at least have had a half-decent health service for free, instead of, as now, a not-even-half-decent health service that they have to pay through the nose for. They also wouldn't have a "president" (you know what I mean!)

it wasn't given IT WAS EARNED, in mens lives and shear determination and will power. don't even forget this!

Independence was never given. It had to be won in a bloody war.
