Hanukkah what ever happened to the "C" ?

I dont know i guess so it can be faster for people to spell.

in hebrew it is pronounced with a sound that doesn't exist in english. many people write "ch" to represent that sound. and there is no english correct spelling of a hebrew word

Chanukah is a hebrew word. Many people have a problem pronouncing the ch as its different than in chat, chair. This ch is the ches from the hebrew alphabet. So it makes its a little complicated to pronounce.

having a ch next to each other makes the word more difficult to pronounce so u drop the c

It depends on if the term is used by the Ashkenaz or Sephardic Jewish people.

Ive seen at least three spellings I spell it Hanukkah
