OMG! I don't know why you Yanks have to destroy old English festivals. "Pebbles and Bam Bam" on Halloween? Do they not teach you history in the Useless Sorry A**es(USA)? Why not be different than all those ignorant festival destroyers and dress them in the correct costumes. She has to wear a "WITCH" and he a "WARLOCK". To be honest though, even these costumes are not "traditional" as children wore their everyday clothes and made lanterns out of turnips ( hundreds of years before some Yank found a use for the tasteless pumpkin) with scary faces, to ward off the witches. Halloween is about "WITCHES" only and it's real name is not Halloween but is "All Hallows Eve". The English tradition of "All Hallows Eve" goes way back to the days before Christ. It was originally an old Pagaen festival that has carried on throughout over two millenium until some Yank decided he could exploit it and make money through changing and destroying the old tradition. At the stroke of midnight, all the witches, from all the covens would fly on their broomsticks and cause all sorts of mischief. Some would turn men and women into animals and others would take away the children, for food. The witches were afraid of the lanterns as with their poor eyesight they only see evil monsters glaring at them. Keep the Pebbles and Bam Bam idea for your next fancy dress party.
