For the male band costumes I suggest a metal band style ensemble with mascara and black lipstick and nail polish. Kinda cliche but a lot of costumes are modernized and drab. The Gothic metal band dress ware is relatively easy to pull off for any gender and inexpensive. You can dye some jeans and a tank or long-sleeve shirt black and tatter them up a bit. A more modern group costume are masquerade clothing with opera-like masks and whimsical flowing robes. This was the best and normally not seen costumes I can think of. I imagine you can pull either off with ease.
