How long after applying for a job online should i follow it up with a phone call?

Many recruiters will go through their applicants each morning, assess them and then spend the morning contacting those who meet the criteria. Two days is long enough to wait before a quick follow up phone call.

two days! def is enough, or like say you apply mid week maybe wait until the following monday...... so it seems like a long period but it's in fact only a few working days.
